The BioKMT masterclass is a biannual class organized by BioKMT that aims at bringing Egypt's brightest minds together to discuss advances in Science, science policy, funding opportunities and strategies to drive the momentum of scientific excellence in Egypt.
The BioKMT masterclass aims at catalysing collaborations between Egyptian scientists via webcasting science talks, matchmaking potential collaborators and promoting research topics that would help Egypt prosper. It also gives the chance for younger scientists, PhD students and MSc students to attend the lectures and meet with the speakers.
This year Dr. Sameh Magdeldeen, head of proteomics research program unit at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt will give a talk about mass spectrometry in Egypt and what his unit offers to the Egyptian scientific community.
Dr. Mohamed El Hadidi will present his leading work in bioinformatics.
This event target: PhD students, Post docs, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors.
Throughout its research network, BioKMT aims at bringing together distinguished Egyptian scientists working in renowned research institutions in Egypt and abroad, with policy makers and funding bodies. The objective of this meeting is to establish useful recommendations to bypass current bottleneck that hinder the progress of biological research in Egypt and brainstorm for resolutions to the current hurdles.
This BioKMT research network will cover a whole spectrum of translational medicine, developmental biology, proteomics and metagenomics along with systems biology.

The 4th BioKMT meeting 27th of July 2013, Cairo

For more than 3 years now and the BioKMT has been organizing an annual meeting on the advances in Biological sciences. The aim of these meetings is to bring/gather Egyptian Scholars who are doing their research in top leading institutes to come and talk about their work , personal and professional experience and set guidelines on from where to start developing Egypt scientifically.

This year we are honored to have 9 Egyptian Scholars addressing a wide spectrum work in Biological sciences.Regardless of what Egypt is witnessing in terms of political split. We all agreed to work together to deliver a message that whatever can divide us... Science and passion of knowledge can bring us all together.
